Pitch-perfect Gyro keeps hitting the right note
14 April 2008 – Gyro Scandinavia has won three major competitive pitches to win some enviable clients: Adobe, Specsavers and Novartis.
Adobe will outsource a large proportion of its Nordic marketing function to Gyro, and the agency will also develop strategy and creative work. The initial agreement is for a one-year contract, on a retainer fee basis.
The Specsavers account covers international partner recruitment for the UK-based optical retailer. Gyro will revamp the program, and the new concept will be deployed in print, online and direct activity rolling out during Q2.
Novartis has asked Gyro to reposition antihypertensive drug Exforge in Sweden. The agency proposed an integrated communications approach covering press, online, direct mail and PR. Its impressive track record in medical marketing was a deciding factor.
Claës af Burén, General Manager of Gyro Scandinavia, says: ‘We’re extremely happy to have won these three outstanding clients, and we’re looking forward to taking their business forward. In two of the pitches, a planned second round was cancelled because Gyro was so clearly the outstanding contender. It’s more evidence that our international perspective and creative vision are the right formula.’
