Gyro International Acquires Paris Operation

30 November 2006 - Gyro International, the integrated brand communications agency, today announced that it had completed the acquisition of Skipper Communications SAS, one of France’s leading independent marketing agencies.

This follows the recent announcement by Gyro that it had raised £6 million of growth capital in order to open further international offices and make acquisitions in core areas of the business.

Skipper, which is based in Paris was founded by Patrick Blonde and Noel Grand nearly 20 years ago. The agency works for a large number of leading brands inFrance including Sony Playstation, SFR, Renault, Moet Hennessy, Eurosport and the Ecoles du Ski Français.

The fully integrated agency has long established and deep rooted relationships with its clients, some of which go back ten years, and both Patrick Blonde and Noel Grand will be joining the Gyro International management team.

Gary Brine, CEO of Gyro International, commented: “This is an important step for Gyro International. We have been looking at various options for starting a French business for a while now and when we first met with Patrick and Noel we knew that we had found the right partners.

“We have said that our goal is to become the largest independent agency network within the next few years and this acquisition, as well as further opportunities that we are examining in Europe, the US and Asia, will help us to achieve that.”
