Moss Bros Appoints Gyro to Launch Mail Order Catalogue

10 August 2005 - Gyro International, the integrated brand communications agency, has been appointed by Moss Bros Group plc to launch the company’s brand new mail order catalogue which is currently due for release in September 2005, with an initial print run of 500,000.

This will be the first venture in Mail Order Shopping for the Moss Bros Group PLC and Gyro will be instrumental in all aspects of the design and production of the catalogue as well as the targeting of recipients. The glossy, 28 page catalogue will showcase a broad range of shirts, ties and accessories from the following brands Savoy Taylors Guild, Dehavilland, Pierre Cardin, YSL, 1919 Stephens Brothers, Baumler and Moss Bros. Styles will range from formal to casual, brights to pastels and plains to stripes, whilst Moss Bros will provide a full range of dresswear shirts and accessories including cummerbunds and bow ties.

Andrew Barclay, Head of Marketing & PR said, “By channelling our proven expertise in Marketing & PR, Buying & Merchandising and Logistics into our exciting new mail-order and on-line venture will only complement our current trading success. We want to grow our UK menswear market share both through our existing high street presence and via new, more convenient selling channels. Our strategy to launch our mail-order business in September will allow us to reach potential consumers not yet realised. The Mail Order and on-line shopping facility will be unique to the UK market as no other Mail Order business retails such a broad range of branded fashion products. Our Moss brand is currently the largest retailer of branded suits on the UK high street.”

The appointment of Gyro to assist with the Mail Order project follows the announcement made at the end of June 2005 that Gyro had launched the Moss Bros Group plc’s Summer Sale across the Moss, Hugo Boss, Cecil Gee and Beale & Inman brands.

Richard Perry of Gyro said “Results from our initial work with the retailer on the launch of the summer sale have been very encouraging and we are looking forward to adding significant value to the company’s mail order project later on in the year.”
