Gyro launches media planning division

17 January 2005 - Gyro Group, the integrated brand communications agency, has created a media planning division and appointed Kathryn Evans to head up the new team. Kathryn, formally media planning director at Tidalwave, has eight years' experience in media planning and management specifically in the business to business arena.

Gyro, the UK’s largest business-to-business agency, can now provide its clients with the full spectrum of marketing services. Already, clients including Tate & Lyle, Siebel, Shell and BEA are using Gyro's media planning services and Gyro is estimating billings over £1 million in the first 12 months.

Richard Perry, managing director of Gyro UK, 'To date, we have outsourced all our media planning work. As part of our drive towards providing a truly integrated communications offering, we have established this in-house media planning team. This gives us greater control of our clients' programmes as well as providing an additional revenue source for Gyro.'

Greg Morency, Vice President of Marketing, Tate & Lyle, comments, ’We are working with Gyro on a product launch across the UK, France, Germany and the US. It has been extremely beneficial to work with an agency which offers both the full range of marketing services we required and the knowledge of the international markets we are targeting.’
