Gyro Creative For HP Wins Award

17 July 2006 – Gyro International, the integrated brand communications agency, was the creative force behind the HP Indigo Solution DM that recently won a prestigious Printing World Award for “best digital printing”.

The award, which was announced at the Printing World Awards dinner on 6 July 2006, was won by Lorien Unique, the printer of the HP Indigo Solution DM.

The guide was designed by Gyro to showcase the abilities of the HP Indigo range of printing systems. It included up to 30 cases of personalisation and was printed using 11 different substrates to highlight the quality of print that the HP Indigo Digital Printing Press is capable of.

The guide was sent to over 3,700 individuals at printing companies throughout the UK and included dramatic colour usage, industry information, specific case studies and hints and tips for developing a digital print strategy.

The guide was described by the award judges as “a brilliantly innovative piece of print that pushed the boundaries of what is possible in digital”.

They went on to say: “some of the judges were so blown away by the results, they could barely believe the work had been produced digitally. One judge found the guide so useful, they went so far as to track down their own copy.”
