Gyro International broadens global presence with expansion into Dubai and Madrid

05 November 2007 - Europe’s leading integrated communications agency Gyro International is aggressively expanding its global offering in November with the opening of new standalone offices in Dubai and Madrid.

In both the Middle East and Madrid, Gyro International will be plugging a niche in the market for integrated agencies and strategically placing themselves to serve clients in Iberia, the Middle East and parts of Africa.

In Dubai, Fiona Knowles and Lucy Knowles will consolidate their expertise to become Joint General Managers having previously held positions of Group Account Director and Global Event Director at Gyro International respectively. With previous experience working in the Middle East Fiona Knowles estimates a £1.8 million turnover in the first year. Furthermore, Nokia Siemens Networks has already appointed the office to produce a series of customer communications for the region.

In Madrid, Ana Garcia-Hierro Jimenez has been appointed as General Manager of Gyro Spain which will serve the entire Iberia region. Ana Garcia-Hierro Jimenez joined Gyro from Imation International where she was EMEA Marketing and Communications Manager. Predicted turnover for the first financial year for the Madrid office has been forecast at £1 million (€1.4 million).

Speaking about the latest expansion by Gyro International, Vice President EMEA Richard Perry comments "Our expansion across the EMEA gives our clients a genuine independent network that delivers a seamless one brand experience with brilliant integrated strategic and creative thinking – in every country."

The opening of Gyro offices in Dubai and Madrid follows the acquisitions of Manchester marketing agency Cicero in March of this year and the Swedish agency Dowell Stubbs during the summer; both for undisclosed sums.
